Mr. Martinez is a seasoned real estate attorney with substantial experience representing individual property owners and businesses, financial institutions, developers, and property managers in complex real property matters. His practice focuses on commercial property litigation involving lien and title disputes, easements, partition, buyer-seller contract disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, unlawful detainer, business torts, and intentional torts. 

With nearly a decade of litigation experience, Roberto brings a practical, results-driven approach to resolving disputes efficiently and protecting his clients’ interests. He is recognized for his strategic judgment and litigation strategies tailored to each client’s objectives. He manages cases from inception through judgment, on occasion through appeal, and he has achieved efficient resolution through motion practice. He has secured favorable results for his clients both in and out of the courtroom. In addition to trial practice, he has handled a lot of transactional work as well, including commercial lease negotiation, business formation, and drafting various real property agreements.

Prior to developing his real estate practice, Roberto represented national banks and financial institutions, national retailers, entertainment venues, and Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes litigation spanning a wide range of legal issues. His broader litigation experience allows him to identify legal and practical risks and pursue efficient solutions to complex real estate matters.

• Bench Trials. Served as lead trial counsel in unlawful detainer matters.

• Defrauded Client. Secured $500,000 settlement for individual property owner defrauded by former partner.

• Dismissal Judgment. Obtained complete defense judgment in federal court featured in the Daily Journal.

• Flip or Flop. Negotiated buyback settlements on behalf of buyers of real property flips gone wrong.

• Commercial Lease. Assisted client in negotiating and drafting lease for new medical office.
